Second fishing vessel for crab was launched in Vladivostok

The second crab catcher was launched at the Vostochnaya Verf in Vladivostok. The vessel is being built following the results of crab auctions with investment commitments.
The "Ayan" is the second of 6 crab vessels in the portfolio of the Eastern Shipyard. Customer - Dalnevostochnoe Seaboard LLC.

The new modern vessel can operate at other fishing sites: it can be used to catch and transport live crab, as well as longliners and shrimp. In addition, "Ayan" received the ice class "Ice 2".
The length and breadth of the project 03141 vessel are 63.27 and 10.6 m. The displacement is 1586 tons, the volume of live crab transportation is up to 100 tons, the crew is 20 people.
The ship-crab "Ayan", built as part of the implementation of the state program of investment quotas, on Friday, August 20, was launched in Vladivostok at the shipyard "Vostochnaya Verf". This is already the second vessel of this kind built by seaside shipbuilders.

Crab catchers are being built at Russian shipyards as part of a program to upgrade the fishing fleet. In addition to the distribution of 20% of investment quotas, in the period 2019 - 2021, the Federal Agency for Fishery distributed 50% of the TAC for crab quotas through auctions with investment obligations: one lot - one crab vessel. A total of 41 lots have been distributed, respectively, each assumes the construction of a crab catcher, of which 15 vessels will be built in the Far East. The total investment in construction will amount to about 60 billion rubles. As a result of the auction, about 145 billion rubles were transferred to the state budget.
