Invermar farming centre certified as antibiotic-free

Invermar has received this week a certificate from the National Fisheries and Aquaculture Service (SERNAPESCA) proving that the biomass harvest of the Atlantic salmon species farmed in Ester centre, located in Aysén Region, will be free from antibiotics.
SERNAPESCA grants this certification to farming centres that prove to be free from antibiotics throughout their productive fattening cycle at sea.
"Without doubt there is a defined productive strategy to which this positive news responds, although it is a joint effort made by all of us who are part of Invermar team, the merit of this achievement shows a special accent in the work developed by Farming Management of our company, which links the production of Fresh Water and Sea Water, specifically people directly and indirectly related to the farming work that was carried out in this centre located in the eleventh region," said Paul Weber, general manager of Invermar.
The systematic work that is being developed is an investment whose benefits are associated with the long term, with the view always placed on the demanding final consumer, increasingly aware of what they consume.
"As a company we are committed to making sustainable production over time, based on the predictability of results through processes that are constantly subject to continuous improvement work, with a clear will to respect the environment and the people where we develop our activities," complemented the general manager.
