Marel will give live demonstrations at Seafood Processing Global that focus on how it can help you exceed your production goals.
Marel Improves the Processing Flow
(BELGIUM, 4/13/2015)
At Seafood Processing Global this year, Marel will demonstrate a wide range of equipment and software solutions that help optimize raw material utilization, reduce processing times and labor costs, and improve processes throughout the value chain.
Salmon Highlights: Marel is proud to reveal the first salmon filleter on the market that integrates back and belly trimming into the filleting process. The MS 2730 Filleting Machine’s groundbreaking new setup not only improves yield but also reduces the need for manual trimming.

Visitors will have the chance to preview Marel’s new Salmon Skinner MS 1710. The dual-lane machine handles high volumes and will be the first on the market to run with a head first infeed, meaning less handling of fillets and a more streamlined process.
The new and improved Salmon Slicer SC 135 is also being launched at the Marel stand. This slicer features several new components and offers greater accuracy, capacity, and flexibility than any other salmon slicer available today.
Whitefish Highlights: Marel is introducing the next generation in whitefish processing including, as its centerpiece, the FleXicut water-jet cutter.
FleXicut incorporates two critical processing steps in one machine: precisely locating the pinbones and then cutting the fillet to remove them and portion the fish to customer specification, either skin-on or skin-off.

The automation of pinbone removal not only reduces the need for skilled labour but also increases throughput and greatly improves overall yield and quality.
Additional benefits of FleXicut include greater product diversity and a neat footprint that makes it easy to integrate into most existing factory layouts.
Innovation through Partnership: Marel’s strong partnerships with the fish industry play a vital role in developing innovative equipment and solutions for processing salmon and whitefish.
Processors are encouraged to book a meeting with Marel’s experts who will be available in Brussels to explore how Marel can help them streamline their processes to add value and improve their processing flow. Visit Marel at stand 4-6227/6223 or see marel.com/Brussels2015 for further details.
