Marel has proved popular at several key seafood industry events this month.
Marel is enjoying a busy November, exhibiting at seafood industry exhibitions and events including its own Seafood ShowHow, now in full swing in Seattle (18-22 November), as well as exhibiting at the nearby Pacific Marine Expo later this week (20-22 November).
Marel exhibited at China Fisheries and Seafood Expo in Dalian, China, earlier this month (5-7 November), and found customers were excited to see demonstrations of Marel’s Standard Flowline for processing tilapia, as well as the Geba SC 250 MA Multi-Angle Slicer for salmon for the very first time.

The China Fisheries and Seafood Expo is Asia's largest seafood show, attracting exhibitors from all over the world and visited by thousands of buyers and decision makers from the seafood industry. The Flowline, with INNOVA software solutions, proved to be one of the most eye-catching pieces of equipment at the show, and Marel’s stand enjoyed a steady flow of interest from when the show opened until it closed.
The final day of the China Fisheries and Seafood Expo was also the first day of Expo Pesca, on the other side of the world, in Lima, Peru (7-9 November). Marel promoted innovation through partnership with customers at Expo Pesca this year, and highlighted its latest advances in processing technologies and systems for the fish processing industry.
Expo Pesca is the biggest trade show in Latin America for marine equipment, fishing, aquaculture and seafood. Visitors to the show showed a special interest in INNOVA Software Solutions, using the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the INNOVA-controlled packing solution on display, and attending a technical conference about how Innova empowers the fish processing industry.
Other equipment on display at these events includes: the SpeedBatcher, MultiheadWeigher, TargetBatcher for glazed fish products, and Compact Grader.
