Puerto de Celeiro S.A. has taken a step forward in the commercial approach of its activity in order to change the traditional fish auction system and look for a higher added value for fisheries producers within the scope of innovation and modernization, permitting the companies of the Group Puerto de Celeiro to increase their competitiveness betting for quality and differentiation.
The new commercializing company will be composed by the commercial companies of the Group (joint in ‘Puerto de Celeiro Comercial’), with Proinsa, the society that currently commercializes coastal fishing at this port, and Isidro de la Cal.
The new society will manage more than 37,000 tons of fresh and processed fish and will have the logistical capacity needed to send the product to big distribution wholesalers, large stores and the restaurant sector with a sales forecast of more than 142 million Euros.
