The Global Seafood Assurances was spearheaded and initially funded by the Global Aquaculture Alliance (GAA). For over 20 years, through its Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) program, GAA has provided end to end assurances of responsible and safe farmed seafood.
GSA is striving to provide the same comprehensive assurances with the wild seafood supply chains that the marketplace has come to expect with aquaculture through the BAP program. We provide end-to-end quality assurance in seafood by creating standards were gaps exist. We collaborate with other standard holders where possible to build robust traceability.
